when i lost wieght a couple of years ago the same thing happend, you lose so much weight quickly your body will try its best to stop anymore being lost to save you wasting away, seems it becomes more efficient and ajusts to what your doing. i would vary what your doing excersise wise and vary your eating patterns perhaps

Thing is you stop and you will ramp all the wieght right back on and some, thats whats now happended to me

Im no expert but just going from what i have found

It looks to me like you're still taking in quite a lot of carbs - potatos, wholemeal bread etc - also check the content of the protein shakes you are taking as sometimes these can be full of carbs if they are aimed at bulking up. To be honest I cant see why you would need these if you're not concentrating on building muscle/bulking up at all. If you feel you need to still eat your carbs then try and do so in the first half of the day rather than at nite. Something else I think also is that I believe you're not eating often enough - try having small snacks mid morning & mid afternoon as this keeps the metabolism up and stops the body storing fat.

Try varying your exercises aswell - add a few sets of weights in there aswell to confuse your body and keep it working in different ways.

Also when do you goto the gym??? Is it first thing in the morning before you eat as people recommend doing cardio unfueled first thing in the morning.

HTH!

Hi mate, EAT BREAKFAST!! may sound daft but your body goes into starvation mode every night so to start your metabolism, you need to eat breakfast. Something like oats or whole grain cereal with skimmed milk.

Another thing that helps speed your metabolism up is small meals through out the day rather than three big meals.

As Lee said above, do some light weights, loads of reps. Keep mixing it up or your body gets used to your routine and weight loss slows down.

Also, dont always go by the scales, ive just finished a bulking phase, and got obsessed with weighing my self everyother day, if i hadent gained it did my head in!! Look at your self in the mirror to see results.

Dont stop training mate, keep at it!!

cut out the protein drinks and the pittas..... as suggested above, Weight Watchers may not be every man's ideal, but it does give you a sensible balanced plan to follow... and if you really can't drag yourself along to a meeting, have a look at their website.

With thatmuch cardio you must be burning off at least 1000 calories. Maybe you need to do more weights to build up lean muscle which stokes up your metabolism at rest.

roosie, you're training and should gain some muscle... dont get obsessed with the scales, go on how you look and feel as well, measure your waist.

doesnt look like you're eating loads of carbs anyway but reducing carbs always works well for me when trying to lose weight.

just an idea but if your only eating a specified amount of calories and your burning considerable amounts more, then your body will go into starvation mode and " hang on " to anything you give it as it thinks your not giving it enough, which will then be stored as fat.

Maybe you need to vary your diet a bit more, you do need variety otherwise you and your body will get bored very quick and your weighloss will plateau.

We have seen this at SW a few times, once the diet is changed slightly then the weight starts coming off again

HTH

I don't think you're eating enough really for the amount of work you're doing and size you are. As above, have a good breakfast - something like a bacon (grilled) omlette. Have some high energy natural snacks mid-morning and mid-afternoon, like figs. Salad without potato for lunch is a good idea and then in the evening after a workout have the same again with a potato, or perhaps a chicken shish with pitta bread.
