Default Anyone into boxing?

Wantng to take this up guys, always liked watching and never really contemplated doing it? theres a club about 1 mile from my house also.

Just to get fit really and get some anger out in the process. need something that will get my weight down from 15.5stone to around 14 stone at least , im 6ft also im very big boned lol always have been

But a bit nervous of going as im a newcomer etc etc and no nothing

would this be a good idea lads?

Best thing to do would be to go down and have a chat with the instructor/coach(es)/gym owner. If its a decent place they will welcome newbies and probably do some sort of free trial for you to see if it is something that you would like to persue.
When i first started mma being the new guy was a but daunting, you get your arse kicked more often then not but if you stick at it and are keen to learn then it takes relativly little time to get to a standard at which you can train with those that are far more advanced than youself and make really good training session that are beneficial to you both.

Where abouts are you mate? I teach Kickboxing twice a week. If your nearby your more than welcome to come and watch some training. I will show you some basic bag work too. I live in Milton Keynes.

lol. i train sometimes with boxers/kickboxers. fairly inexperienced at the boxing side, but the guys were more than welcoming and helpful

Half the art is in holding the pads/bag as many boxers will tell u......
