Default What shoulder exercises?

I currently do dumbell shoulder press, then lateral raise, upright row and finally i think its called front raise where you use a dumbell and raise it infront of you. Am I covering all my shoulder muscles or can anyone recommend an exercise to do?

that seems to be a decent spread of exercises, try doing barbell shoulder press instead and up the weight, this will add more mass, then once your happy with the mass u can define it more using dumbells.

How about something for the rear? try an exercise which is like side raises but bent over. Either put a bench @ 45 degrees and lay chest down on it or sit on a bench and rest your chest on your knees. Then do raises out to the side, working the rear head of the delt.

upright rows will work the rear delt, but adding another like kieron says is a good idea.

I'm sorry but I dont agree, if done properly the upright rows will work mainly the traps and the side delts. Not the rear. Thats why I suggested a specific exercise for the rears.

yeh ur right actually pal, but still, i wouldnt bother doing every angle of the shoulders at first, that would come after building some mass on them from exercises like military press. you can then carve out the separate muscles using an exercise for each head of the shoulder.

Thanks for the advice I`ll try the bent over or lying on a bench one. I swap around between barbell and dumbell to keep things interesting, I get bored easily with exercises. I`ll do the suggested exercise and let you know how I get on
