We all know how fattening beer is etc etc, but I was wondering, what can I drink that wont undo all of the hard work in the gym etc?

I want to be able to go out still, but i dont want to undo all of the work...or am I destined for Diet Coke .

If you're going out, just enjoy yourself and forget about it.

if you are really conerned then stick to spirits

You'd be better of drinking larger than coke tbh - the amount of sugar and crap in them. It's ok to have a sneaky pint every now and then but if you are going out to get smashed it's going to undo a lot of work you did at the gym the day before.

Try Michelob Ultra - it's low in carbs and low in calories. It's not all that great tasting - but after a few (dozen) it becomes bearable.

The same way anything with a calorific value is fattening.

330ml of Bud (just as an example) has about 150 calories, as well as 11 grams of carbohydrates.

how do you think a beer belly gets its name

I think one of the better options to drink is Vodka & diet coke as mentioned by Stu @ M Developments on another poost as that is supposed to be low in carbs etc

Just drop the coke altogether. Sorry that's the Russian in me breaking out.

This is from memory, had an argument with someone about this years ago.

Standard-strength lager is around 200 calories/pint on average. Mainly chemicals, not that great at all.
Cider is around 220 a pint, but arguably the best for you, being vaguely more natural than anything else.
Guinness is 230-odd, and can make you piss out of your arse.
Bitter on average, is around 180 a pint.

And we worked it out (at the time) a vodka/diet works out about 3 to a pint of premium-strength lager(!) if you're easy on the coke.
