PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ...................
right here goes i have a fiesta 2002 1.4 zetec and the engine gave up on me,, so went and purchased another engine from a 2006 1.4 zetec and had it fitted.. this is where the problems start,,,, it will not fire up at all,, it turns as if it wants to but it just doesn't!!!!!!!!!!!!
so someone suggested the flywheel was the cause so i got a new one from ford and had that fitted,, and still it won't go... it will start for a second but then it dies out and sounds real deep as it does this.......
DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEAS OR COME ACROSS THIS BEFORE ???????

Right..... Have you checked it's sparking? Have you checked for fuel getting there? Are you using the sensors from the old engine or the new? Could be a duff crank sensor maybe?

hi there thanks for the reply...
yeah it does spark,, fuel is getting there, as it seems to be over fueling and i have replaced the crank sensor....
it starts for a second then just die's over ????????? i'm lost

What about camshaft sensor? Have you tried new and old one?

i haven't try'd that to be honest, but have had it on a computer and it is not throwing up any codes,, but will give it a go

Just a thought. When you say the old engine gave up on you....what actually happened? What fuel pressure are you getting at the rail? Did you hear the new engine running before you bought it?

Also, where abouts are you based? (I'm an iPhone passionford-er and it doesn't show the location info )

hi hi have 1.4 2002 focus ive change the lump but now it wont atart its got a spark and fule runs 4 about 5 seconds then stops help !!!

its like its not gettin fule but it is. if i spray down the air in take she runs but then stops but ive changed every thin from ecu to fule pump . the only thing ive not change yet is the fule moduel [HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP]
