Question keep the fiesta ST or buy a ...........

....racing puma??

with just 3 payments left on my 2008 fiesta ST i am in two minds if i should sell up or keep it.
i have always wanted a racing puma, basicly i love them. but they are a 10 year old car now where as the fez is more modern, safer and more reliable.

fezST vs racing puma:
both use about the same fuel
racing puma is about 10% cheeper to insure!!!!
i want something you don't see in every town (16,000 fiesta STs vs 500 racing pumas)
racing puma parts getting expensive (mainly brakes)
racing puma rear arches enjoy a good rust spot or two.
fiesta ST easy to be tuned, racing puma engine on its limit for road use.

what do you all think??

and one more thing, i am not that bored of the fez yet. :P

Keep the Fiesta as it's far more practical and usable. Then save up and get your own place

Puma racing is great fun, I'm sure you wouldn't be dissapointed with the way they drive. Finding one that isn't riddled with rust is another matter!

FRP are amazing cars, but older and the specific parts are a cunt to get if you hhave a bump, the brakes are the least of your worries, the lumps of shit can be replaced with brembos for a lifetime of brakes with a seal that dont squeak and need rebuilding every year!

Bumpers, wings, quarters etc are a real (expensive ) bitch to get hold of

Buy a racing puma then keep your head on ebay and other places and buy up one of each of the rare parts, can be done cheaply enough and youll soon have enough to rebuild one.

As for driving, ive driven my mums enough times to have an opinion and they are a car i both love and hate. they can be an absolute pig in the wet or snow and on rough roads the steering will pull and jar you to the point where you are walking like a pensioner after a long journey. BUT, on 99% of the roads you will be on and most of the time youre driving it you will have such a hoot, the handling is ridiculous, ive yet to (and i doubt you could on a std engine) run out of grip or breaking capability when driving it and the it makes such a racket that every journey is such a laugh and an adventure. Ive also yet to find another car where im so perfectly sat for driving.

Ignore what people say, having been around one for 5-6 years the brakes dont need rebuilding every year, once a year ours are taken off and cleaned and thats it, ours only squeaks when reversing and apart from that offer simply amazing stopping power.
