Feista mk4
Hay all I'm Scott I've got a mk4 feista 1.25 I've got a lip kit coming for it to make it look a lot better lol now I wanna up the power on it by putting a new lump in it any ideas ppl
I think you would be wasting cash trying to get it to go quicker, you would spend ŁŁŁŁ and not really get any gains that would feel noticeable.
You could chuck a bigger lump in but then you have to think of brakes etc and insurance.
Maybe a sports exhaust, decent filter and make sure the bushes etc are all good, lower it a little and make it handle well. It would be more rewarding, it is never going to be a straight line tarmac muncher so get it handling well and so it is more fun in the twisties.

The options you have are:
1.6 zetec se from a zetecs
puma 1.7 (most popular)
2.0 zetec (turbo)
2.0 I4 from an rs2000 16 valve
None of them are that hard to do, for simplicity, go for the puma, can be done for about 300 quid, for ultimate power, go the 2.0 zetec turbo route.
Now lets see some pics of the car (mk4 owner here!)

Obviously anything is possible mind, they are just the easiest options, there is one out in Norway (I think, it was at the Gatebil festival at least) running a YB, and with enough work anything can be done, would love to see one running a mk2 focus RS 5 cylinder duratec (but that's a Ł6000 engine new).

DIY! Its not too tricky, or any half decent garage should be able to do it within a couple of days, as all you are really doing is putting a bigger version of the same thing in the car so its not that difficult at all.

Had a mk4 for my first car, was great little thing. I'd planned on a 2.0 Zetec but had too much fun revving the nuts off the 1.25, dropped it on 60mm springs, stripped it out and it pissed all over my mates 1.4 Polos/Saxos etc!
