Default Ford Fiesta ST engine conversion

Hi guys, my brother has a 1.4 zetec for sale and he would sell it to me very cheap. However I was looking at getting a ford fiesta ST, can any one tell me if it would be easy to do a engine conversion from a 1.4 to a 2.0L st engine for a ford fiesta? I was told as long as it had ABS you could swap the engines over very easy. It would turn out cheaper as well, I have seen a few fiesta ST engines for sale for around £1100 and + £x amount of money to swap the engine, and yes this engines does come with the gear box, car suspension, ect.... all the parts needed for a full conversion. And on paper it will be cheaper as I can get this 2004 fiesta for next to nothing from m brother and the engine and work should come to around £1500, far cheaper then the min cost of ST starting arond £4000, ofc I would need to buy the extra stuff such as body work and all. Has any one done a engine conversion on a fiesta for a ST? any tips or help any one can give me? On paper it would work but will it really? Any help would be great thanks.

It's not hard. Pretty sure u need the whole car loom. And the clocks are matched to the ecu. Ull also want a rear disc beam.

To completely convert a 1.4 to an ST replica will cost you more than a cheap ST.

It is likely that it will also cost more to insure than a ST too.

Just by an ST. The insurance would more than likely be way more on a 1.4 converted to an ST than a real ST.
