I have Cliffords G5 alarm with Intellistart. This enables me start the car using the remote control, but most importantly has a turbo timer function that I can set when I get out of my car. It is programmed to run for 2 minutes after I remove the key from the ignition. Its a great way to save wear and tear on the expensive turbo.

i got one on my car, its a apex one, simple, it runs the car for upto 9 mins after to take key out, immobiliser will kick in XX secs after engine has cut out.
plus if you take the hand brake off while the turbo time is on with no key in the igniction the engine will cut, stops people stealing the car.

dont think its the best one out there, but it cam in a FRST i sold so nabbed it out of it for my self, lol

If you have the intellistart function active it invalidates the alarms insurance approval and potentially your insurance cover

A stand alone turbo timer should work along side your current alarm. Cheaper alternative is to just not thrash the car right up to when you want to stop. I always give the car a couple of miles to cool before arriving at where I'm stopping.
