Default To cage or not to cage my FRST

Hi guys looking to hit the track next year in my Fiesta and am looking to fit a cage if im gunna be hooning around with the wife in the car, im generally looking at a 6 point rollcage and at having the interior looking lovely and fresh like the outside

Am i mad? Would it suit? Whats your input/opinions?

Ideas i have are,

Green cage with the floor and doors redone in black again
Black cage with a white painted floors, doors etc ( but would it make it look like i had painted a white car black?)
Or a polished cage to match the wheels and intercooler with either white or black interior?
Or do i not bother lol

Any ideas and comments welcome'
Heres Jons Fiesta which i really like the look off

Car looks great as it is, part of me regrets caging my S2. And insurance is more tricky, had a few companies refuse to quote because of it. Unless you are planning on doing loads of track I wouldn't bother and if you are I would buy a Clio and cage that instead

unless your going to track it or do speed runs etc a cage is pointless and will put some buyers off when time comes

get a cage fitted, i did in my xr2 and it felt much more rigid with it fitted and wasn't that much of a pain over the door bars.

when I drive my fiesta my wife often has the same feelings... She once shouted "we're going to die....." very loudly, it hurt my left ear! Little did I realize it was a design feature of the Fiesta mk3 RS Turbo... I thought it was something to do with my driving quickly to catch the plane to go on holiday when I was younger and suffered from testosterone poisoning!

Funnily enough my young daughter doesn't have these problems!

Adam a cage really isn't needed for mild track work

If you had a 400bhp weapon I would say cage it but your car is a stunning example so I would keep it that way

You can still have fun on track in a standard road car

But if you do

Polished cage or black, coloured cages wouldn't suit with your polished wheels,

But at the end of the day it's your car and your money so don't worry what we think lol

Or I will swap you some mint escos wheels to paint orange too match and I will have those? It would look awesome

I was thinking about putting a cage in my saff. Maybe use a bolt in cage and keep all the interior so can always put it back in

Even bolt in cages require a bit of tweeking and fabrication to fit.

White roll cage I say, will look great and if installed properly will really help the handling out.

Very true and box sections for the front legs, and extra supports a lot of the time

Well im taking all your advice and im gunna leave the cage and probably track as i wouldnt feel safe with the wife and me in it on track without one,

So im gunna try show and shine this year instead and try and win a trophey along the way
So tonight i polished the intercooler with metal polish and painted the core silver, will make a start on the radiator next and probably start a thread as i want her minter then mint

Heres my start from earlier
