Default Newbie with radio question

Hi, I would like to say hello, as I have just signed up to this forum.

I do of course have a reason for joining and that is that I have just bought a 1.25 Fiesta with a blown head gasket that I am hoping to get running again.
I find that my first quetion is "how can I get the radio code" I have not yet pulled the radio out, so it may be writen on it but if not I am hoping someone here can help. Cheers Mike

you may find it in the owners manual if the car came with it, otherwise there are 2 alternatives

1. go to ford with it and get the code...
2. look online (google) with the model no of the unit and find sites that charge £5-10 for the code

I can do this for you but I need to know the S/N of the radio so would mean removing it, it will start with an M. As said it should be in your handbook.

Thanks Martin, I removed the radio, with the plan to run a 12 volt supply to it and guess what, it has the code written on the top!

I have been busy removing the cylinder head today. All went ok apart from the sump plug, It is rounded off and I cant get it out. I am borrowing a tool from a mate tomorrow, that he says may grip the rounded off hex and get it to move.

Thanks again, I hope the code is the correct one !
