RS1800 with mk5Rs2000 discs on rear
Hello all,
My cars up on ramps in my local Ford dealership. It's been in storage for 3 years since I bought it and now I'm putting it through the National Car Test (Ireland).
It needs a new handbrake cable as the one fitted by a previous owner wasnt tensioning properly.
I bought the car in Leeds and the previous owner said the brake conversion to the rear is the front brakes from an escort mk 5 RS2000.
The cable currently on the car is a standard RS1800 item but does not appear to fit correctly. The sleeving is good for all the attachments but the cable is too short.
Have tried to fit a Cosworth cable but the sleeving is incorrect.
Is there a Ford cable that can be fitted to resolve this issue?
Is there any way to reslove this?
If not it'll have to go back to drums.
any advice or comment would be greatly appreciated.

Thomas
