Hi guys,
I've got a FRST engine.
I just got some gauges, MOCAL ones from Burton POwer.
I got :
Water temp, oil temp and pressure, and boost.
I know how to install water temp.
However, i need advise on how to install the others.
I've got an oil cooler that i plan on fitting at some point, and i guess i'll need to get a take off plate and so will be able to plumb in the oil temperature there. IS there any other options?
ALso, what do i need to plumb in boost and oil pressure? The oil pressure never came with a sender unit, so i guess i need one of those. Then is it just a case of putting that sender unit in where the oe currently lives?
What about boost? it's a mechanical gauge - and i've kind of no idea where to start with that one?
Sorry this is such a mundane post. I'd very much appreciate any help anyone can offer!
thanks in advance,
Euan

Oil temp, u can have the boss for the sender welded into the sump - but its a sump off job.
Burtons sell all the fittings for the oil pressure, including an adaptor that fit inplace of your oil pressure switch for the dash.
Boost is simply connected to a vacume hose.
HTH.

I have got my Oil Temp in my sump but like as waz said above it's a sump off job, the oil pressure I plumed into where my pressure switch is but I used a 'T' piece so I could keep the pressure switch as well, any Hydraulic place should stock the fittings for these, only payed about 5 quid for the fittings a needed, the oil pressure gauge (if it's the same as my Mocal one) dosn't need a sender there should be a pipe that comes with it and that goes straight into the Oil line (where I decribed).
Hope this helps.
