Fitting R1 Throttle Bodies on 1.8 16v Zetec
Have a 92 xr2i track toy and am looking to up the power a bit. Previous owner/s have fitted it with RS1800 throttle bodies, RS ECU, piper cams, vernier pullies, K&N and some little SinSpeed unit that sits on air regulator or something.
I was looking into fitting twin 45's but recently a colleague suggested R1 throttle bodies instead. He favoured keeping the injection system for reliability and cold running and still get the power gains needed.
Found a set with all the electrics and injection set up, but unsure about how to get hold of a manifold for them.
Does anyone out there know how best to fit the R1 bodies to the engine? Been scouring eBay etc for any suitable manifolds, but no luck. Any advice, recomendations would be gratefully received.
As well as any other useful tips on how to get more HP from the engine without spending mega bucks but keeping it normally aspirated.
Thanks

I have an rs1800 track toy which has the usual exhaust, air filter, cams and chip. but i want more power from it so i was thinking of going the ITB route as I have always had turbo's and want something different.
