Im new to passion ford but im on another couple of ford forums.

hopefully someone can help me. I have a mk 5 fiesta zetec-s and it needs a new engine! the places that i have phoned are having trouble getting hold of an engine and 1 can't get the code from ford at all! he said that ford dont keep a record of what engines types are put into what cars, he has the chassis number etc so whats going on there?

he has asked me to have a look myself and try to get a code for him. I really need the car back on the road for work purposes.

anyone think of somewhere to look other than a scrapyard for an engine? I'm in Scotland and could travel pretty much anywhere in scotland to get 1.

 

I can't see why it's just a Focus 1.6 engine Zetec-SE, still use it now in the Focus 100HP one version has VVT though with 115HP which is not the one your after

I can't remember the engine code off hand but can get it if u want?

From 02 on the code is FYJ, which are 100 bhp
