Ive just bought a Fiesta Turbo which the turbo is smoking its arse off and not holding any boost. I think a new turbo will cure the no boost situation.
Am i right?

Also it holds back a bit before boosting, could this be caused by nasty old spark plugs or is it more serious.

Any help will be appreciated.

Get a new turbo change the oil & engine flush, water, plugs, leads and fuel filter then go and get it set up at a reputable tuner, may cost a few quid but it sound like it needs it.

 

the top end is a bit rattley but only when its first started, once its warmed up it quiets down, could this be just fcuked oil or tappets, or maybe something worse???

 

Thats just tappets, try the engine flush before you change the cam kit it might free up slightly sticky tappets.

 

check the distributor aswell
