Here's my new edition, hopefully should be totally finished by the end of january, full body repaint second week of jan then just a few bits to finish

No had it done to me on my old rs1600i and i had to replace the whole front end, and funally enough it happned to my new fiesta thats just had a new scuttle and screen, what condition is your scuttle panal in mate??? hows it running though ????

Hello mate,

Well chuffed with the engine, then this happens

The scuttle isnt that bad just bent up at each end from the bonnet brackets! Its the roof im worried about it has three big dents going across the top of the windscreen. Think the roof is bent down slightly at the front and dought a new screen will go straight in?!

Just truely gutted!!

Other than that..... love it

Not good mate, mine was lucky it never effected the roof at all, i bet yours was the same as mine fitted with bonnet pins????? mine happened when it was running zetec turbo and had the big cooler in the front

Hasnt got a bonnet catch just bonnet pins! Think I forgot to put the pins through Idiot
Just truely gutted!! Keep just looking at it and thinking complete idiot!

I did it too the rs1600i and i had to replace both front wings, scuttle, bonnet, screen and it was all genuine your will be easy sortewd mate get it into the bodyshop asap before you get pissed off and break it.

If i were you, i would get that front number plate trimmed up a bit, so it dont look like its overlapping the bulges. Know what i mean m8.

and how it is now with loads left to do, ive been taking step by step pictures so when its all finished im going to make a massive thread about it, but anywho






remember theres still loads and loads left to do yet, but what do you think on the back end? it confuses a hell of alot of people lol

The roof is the bad part!!




You can see in the pics of the side of the sun roof that the kink goes along down the side

This car is awsome saw it for the first time when i was 16 at cruise in sheffield (when i thought that sort of thing was err WICKID! lol)and fell in love with it! Seen it alover the place since (last time rs national day this yr) and i still love it to bits. awsome

My everyday runner, well doesnt get used all that much as i have a company car.









Tech spec
ENGINE

FULL 2.1 (2045cc) ZETEC TURBO,lightened & balanced bottom end,proper forged race pistons,on standard rods(ok upto 270bhp) running 8.1.1 comp ratio,arp bolts,new water,oil pump,all new gaskets seals,full rebuilt head,3 angle valve seats,properly run in & set up 2000 miles since set up to run 151bhp @5psi running ofab ecu(would be getting ian howell upgrade,module,map & injectors £660 would be the next step expected 270 bhp @21psi easy with correct set up if i was to keep her) engine alone owes me £2500+

most metal body componets have been powder coated,black

rover T16 on off custom inlet heavly modified to all it to bolt on to head with no spacer plates)
ERST Manifold (bolt on no spacer plates) running fully rebuilt & balanced T3

GRS Evo front mounted intercooler (custom made)
Rad tec custom ally rad 50mm wider than standard
10" kenlowe fan

TRANSMISSION

standard with new AP organic Clutch

SUSPENSION

Full G-Max kit

WHEELS & TYRES

VERY RARE 16" Diamond 7 spokes refurbed+ polished faces with new centre caps with near new toyo proxies T1-R's 195+45+16

BRAKES

crossed drilled & vented Tarox Monza discs, with standard pads & calipers

BODY

Full stripped & rebuilt from a 90% bare shell (apart from removal of Dash),loom traced back into car but not removed!,painted with all panels off,all door shuts,under bonnet & scuttle panel,under boot carpet all painted,a proper re-paint which would cost over £1500 + paint

colour is ALFA ROMEO AZURA NEVOLA pearl Blue

work done to shell

Geniune ford replacement filler cap panel

New rear arch lips,bodykit trimmed,arches rolled to accept 17" wheels if required!

body is in excellent condition (not concourse)

And my summer car which used to be concours and going to be a track day car, 300bhp hopefully should be after the run in. Tech spec is a bit old as i've just had 4.5k work on the engine including complete rebuild etc.











And a quick spy shot of what it looks like with its cossie wheels fitted (cheers DIVA!). also been away for 4months getting a lot of engine mods done just waiting on the mapping and hoping for 300BHP.

I wouldn't mind some Mondeo 16's or some RS500 rims for mine. Both fairly pricey to but tho

it more or less bolted straight on....its just the new light panels that where the worse part, the old ones needed cuttin out n the new ones welding in!

there the old ones that are on there in the pic, with the new ones its all lined up proper now....looks weird really, nice, but confusing lol
