Default Few updates on my 2.1 block *UPDATE 06/01/07

Just a few pics of the bottom end now on the engine stand.

Fitted new water pump
Cleaned it all up
Painted block satin black

Coming new is
New oil pump
Painting sump
Painting the pulley
Gonna fit a set of Geotze rings.

Then is a stage 3 big valve head modifed for multi layer gasket from MR ZVH ian howell.

Will keep you all updated.

This is what happens when u cross

1. Fiesta Turbo

2. A GRS super large intercooler

3. A dosey looking helper


All fitted, a load of pics lol.

Get the grinder out, lose a bit of front panel :-D


Offer the cooler up




Chop the hell out of a bumper



All the unnesscary shit inside the RS bumper


The final Outcome







Cut out some holes for air intake, For use when on track, (the numberplate would normally cover this)

Just a few updates, been bust stripping down the engine,

Ready for new rings, mains, big ends, gaskets and seals etc.








Head is now being stripped rdy to send off to Ian howell to build up to 300 bhp spec.

Bit of an update.

The engine is now ready for building up.

Picked up Block from engineers today.
Had all the cylinders honed to aid bedding of new rings.





new crank :-D



And a box more of gooodies arrived from burton power this week.



Ill keep you all updated of the build up. I can almost taste 300bhp now.

Bit of an update, engine is now pretty much built

Bare block


New Main bearings


New oil splash nozzles


Bit of EBZ engine assembly lubricant


Crank in and all torqued down



New big end bearings




The finished item




Just need a set of ARP con rod bolts and its rdy to go in.

i was gunna paint mine but got talked out of it, so just gave it a bloody good clean up.

hope ya used new injectors seals on there, if not there gunna leak like fuck

looking good mate i'll try pop up this weekend have a chat mine is goong in the bodyshop just brought a genuine bonnet and 1/4 panel having the engine bay repainted ready for more chrome etc. keep it up mate race these jap cars wipe the smile of there face.

ARP conrod bolts arrived so they are now fitted


Bottom end could now be fully built up :-D



Felpro head gasket


Started the long process of the headwork


Kent CVH 35 cam kit to compliment the head and its ready to go in.

Been hard at it today, managed to get the cam kit fitted, and all the engine pretty much together, rocker turbo and a few other bits just dry fitted for the pics.

Valves reseated and new springs fitted



Cam, followers and valve stem seals fitted



Head fitted to the bottom end

you should have left cutting the bumper till last, i know for a fact it WILL have to be moved forward once the engine goes it
