Hi all, just bought a very nice Mk6 Escort Finesse, 1.6 Zetec off a mate. Its been stood for three years and it appears the fuel pump has seized or whatever it is they do!! How do you remove the fuel pipes at the inlet rail thing?? I feel a bit stupid but I haven't touchéd one of these in 15 years.....
Thanks in advance Edit

Thanks, I think I know those ones, these seem to be different though 🤔🤔Theyre a 90 degree fit in the inlet rail, looks they push in, can't see a way of getting them to pop out?? I need to rig a temporary fuel system to move the thing about two miles 🙄🙄
Anybody know what pressure these run at?? Would it be feasible to cut the pipe, connect a Facet type pump just to get it home?? Then replace the tank pump and join the original fuel line together with a short steel pipe and a couple of 'o' clips??
Yes it has two pipes, the return is on the left hand end of the rail. I think there's another join about 30 inches away, where they go under the bulkhead.....
is it no easyer to get a trailer lol.. only way to get pump out tank is tank off on escorts not unless u cut floor under rear seat...
I think that's probably the answer.... I'd drop the tank but my mate(who I bought it off) is a right snooty creature..... they have got a nice drive to be fair haha

lol just get it dragged away easy way as u may have to cut tank bolts aswell if there rusted etc can turn into a really shitty job
You're not wrong Lee, been there..... That's why I didn't want to do it on Lady Mucks perfectly landscaped driveway haha. To be honest in this weather it can stay where it is for another week!!
