Default Rs2000 engine into mk4

hi all
I've come across a guy with a few cars he wants rid of....one is a mk6 (not a genuine rs) with rs2000 running gear and interior....I've got a 4 door mk4 in Aqua that I've visions of making into a sleeper.....are there any major pit falls with such a conversion...has anyone here done it before?

I know this isn't an answer but I'd also like to know if this can be done.
Seems alk you see is zetec or zvh conversions being done. But there may be a reason for this! ☺

Yes it can be done, and has been. I don't know the ins and outs but a few people have done it.

You can use an RST box to make it easier too.

I went Zetec after looking into the RS2000 route. I was put off it by the lack of tunability for the RS engine without spending major ££££££££. Zetecs are easier to tune and dont cost the earth, parts are cheaper and thhey are easier to source (No RS tax!!) Also, theres a bit more to the RS install as far as im told where as the Zetec is straight forward drop in really. Only my opinion, its personal choice at the end of the day.
