Hi everyone, new member here.
Proud owner of a 2000 model Escort Flight 1.6 Zetec. Not my first Escort by any means but very pleased to be back in one again.
She's in fine condition with only 57000 miles under the belt and has stacks of history.
Runs like a dream aside from an annoying whistle (probably from the heater) but I'll find the cause one day.
Ideally I'd like to source a set of correct wheel trims to finish her off.

Does your car have a turbo? It is known to produce a whistling noise.

No, no turbo fitted, its just a standard 1.6 Zetec. I've had no success finding the cause so just live with it and turn the radio up
It's not always there though, seems to get worse if I drive with a window or sunroof open.
