Hi all I've got a 1996 P reg 1.8 si which has been stored in my garage for 7 yrs and will be getting her sorted and road ready very soon fingers crossed.. I'm toying with the idea of a turbo for it and wondered if anyone could suggest a turbo that would be ideal for this if any without changing the engine.. if not what engine and turbo could be used cheers guys

T3 off an rs turbo will work, I think you may need to alter the holes for the manifold studs to fit. You'll need to either rebuild the engine using low comp Pistons etc or fit a decompression plate. Plus you'll have to change the engine managent.

plenty of tuning options for that 1.8 zetec but none are that cheap going the turbo route could see your pockets empty fastttttttttttt

Looks like the turbo idea is out the window lol, my money situation hasn't started out as good as I expected just yet so cheaper options is going to be way forward for now, what things can you suggest PD? I'm looking at keeping it standard but a few tweaks to get it a little faster is what I'm looking to do,, got an air filter kit already and an exhaust is on the list, found a sportex exhaust system for £155 posted which isn't bad but it's mixed reviews on the exhausts from what I've seen.. cheers
