Default Rs2000 fuse box

Right got my rs2k sorted now after a leak onto the fuse box.

Its up and running and found it needs a new scuttle panel.

Few question

1. Ive put a bag over the box for now will that be okay as a temporary measure until I can sort it properly? It wont melt or anything stupid?

2. Can you weld up or replace the scuttle without having to completely take the dash out? Just free the dash and pull it clear of the screen, cover it and repair the scuttle?

I would use a rubber floor mat cut up to fit over the fuse box rather than a bag as a bag will attract moisture, as for welding depends really on what parts are in that area but a escort mk6 dash is dead easy to remove anyway

Yes I did wonder about moisture with a bag. Ill sort out something else. Yeah ive took a dash out of a mk6 before its easy enough even better if you don't have to!

Only reason I don't want to take it out is that the immobiliser wires are attached to it and don't really want to cause anymore problems.
