Default Radiator Water

Hi..
We are now living in a hard (Chalky) water area as against our previous abode
which boasted a good water softener . I'm a bit concerned about useing "Hard"
water mixed with FORD antifreeze in the new radiator I have just fitted .......
Can any one shine any light on my problem ?
Thamks Rustler....

If your tap water is hard then you'd be better off using distilled or demineralised water. Its often sold as battery top up water. It'll cost you a fair bit though. Would be worth chatting to any friends who work somewhere with battery forklifts as they use a lot of it.

Hi JFB....
Many thanks for your advice....
I only required 3 lt of dist' water ,so at 50p a ltr it was quite cheap
So now I'm completely happy , The Jobs Done. And we're off on our
April "Ford Club, Easter Run" on Sunday. All being well the weather will be fine as per usual here in S/W France . Thanks once again JFB
