is there anyone who knows how to upgrade a 16i ecu or where you can get one already done with a higher rev limit

Dont think you can upgrade the ECU, although Ford created two other ECUs for rallying.

do you know where to get one i heard a company in germany called iceberg do them anyone know about this

the modified ECU's were Ford competition only and rare at the time so i would think they would be near non-exisitent now

There was a guy on here once who had an RS1600i with a mappable Emerald ECU and astra GTE injectors, had it done at a place called B-TEC Motorsport ( 01993 830214 )

emerald ecu's are a fave in practical performance car mag i've read about them if you haven't read this mag read it it's like max power for people who know what they are talkng about and no spoilers or saxos

Ive heard of that Magazine dont read it though

The RSi with the Emarald ECU still ran the Twin coils but with the GTE injectors there was no need for the old metering unit

yes m8, i´m from germany... the company is "eichberg". as far as i know they do sell the ecu even today. the ignition timing is different and there is no rev limiter.
