RS2000/2.0 zetec conversion, Insurance increase difference?
Hi
I've been thinking of doing either the rs2000 converion or the 2.0 zetec on my 1.6 zetec. Just weighing up how much of an impact it will have on my next insurance quote. Currently 23 and paying £700.
I'd like to hear what difference it has made to people who have done the conversion not just on an escort but on other cars too. Should be able to give my self some kind of guide price from this info!
Thankyou!

Yeh, the zetec seems quite a primative engine too. Nice and easy to work on, Changed my first HG and clutch on it and found it really straight forward, also parts are 10 a penny. So I would like to do the 2.0 is it a really noticable jump in power?

If your going RS2000 mate and using the MTX75 you will need the sub frame to as the back mount is different has a extra bit welded in! Also you will need all the Ingition module/wiring but you'll be happy with the performance if you do I run a MK5 RS2000 as a trackday car last time out went past a ST150 on the straight the old boys wouldn't believe me the engine is standard with over 100k lol
