RS2000 4X4 AND MONDEO 4X4 PROPSHAFT
Hey all, is the MONDEO 4x4 propshaft the same length as the RS2000 4x4 propshaft?? or will i have to shorten the RS2000 4x4 propshaft?
i know the ends are the same where they joint the rear diff and transfer box.
i am putting a RS2000 4x4 convertion on me mk5b and i am using a mondeo gearbox and transfer box. i was told the transfer box on a mondeo is bigger than the RS2000 4x4. so i just wondered if the props where the same size. if not, then who does prop shortening and balancing etc??

not sure about the above but you will need to do somthing about the spare wheel well on your car if its not a 4x4 as the 4x4 well isnt as deep so there is room for the diff.

Hi, The propshaft off the mondeo is slightly longer, 1 thing youll have to check is the ratio in the front diff off the mondeo and the rear rs2 4x4 diff as the rs2000 4x4's have 3 different ratio set ups thats where a lot of people fcuk up, when their gearbox goes in rs2 4x4 they just stick any rs2 4x4 gearbox on without checking ratio ( like i did twice and killed 2 transfer boxes ) then you end up with a shagged transfer box
