Are we talking about the white low mileage car here ?
If so the car was bought brand new by a bloke who lives 5mins from me (Geoff Bell) , the car was purchased new in Newcastle (Geoff was originally looking for an XR3) and initially had Geoffs private plate 777BEL on it. When I saw it last , before Geoff sold it, the car had 960 miles on the clock, it also had black plastic louvres fitted to the rear quarter windows and an additional pinstripe up the side. It was covered in about 10 layers of bed linen. The plate GAO is Cumbrian and would have been issued at Carlisle when 777BEL was removed (this plate is now on a knackered Toyota taxi) , Geoff sold the car to fund his passion for classic motorcycles.
If I'm talking about the wrong car disregard all the above !!!!!!

An hpi check on the car says no reg of 777bel.
But yes it was bought from henlys in newcastle
by a mr bell whose name is still on the reg doc.
first registered on aug 83. never registered
in any other name
if possible can i get in touch with him cos i am
trying to build up a comprehensive history of car.
the mileage is now 1900.
