Hi all, i painted my diff a few months back and it seems the paint i used was shite. Its already peeled and its starting to rust again Has anyone got any suggestions of a paint that can survive more that afew months and has a nice glossy finish? any steps i should follow?

 

makew sure you remove all rust flaky paint zink primer then industrial enamel or smooth hamerite

 

Shot blasted, panel wipe, etch prime, 2k primer, Silver 2k then 2k clear coat....

 

tin of hamerite and a brush and get to work, done one of mine and it was mint and stayed like that right up untill i popped it AGAIN lol not got round to painting my current one.

 

Dont paint it.
Bead blast it and wire brush it up.
Job done

 

How durable would this be. i.e, would i have to take it off and wire wheel it to keep it shiny? im not goimg for full concours by the way
