Default Cleaning Aluminum

Hi, got a Bailey header tank, and in my infinite wisdom, I didn't screw it on tight enough! So now it is marked.

I've tried Silvo and a few microfiber cloth's. But it's taking FOREVER!! Do I just have to piss into the wind until it finally rubs enough away?

Anyone got a tried and tested way that'll reduce my stress level? It's pissed me right off.

Thanks in advance, Jamie.

Cheers, will have to go get some!

I've got a fair bit of it off, it's just left a stain.

you could use fine wet and dry sand paper, 1000grit f it's really bad then autosol over that for hours.
personally just persevere with autosol or meguires.

If it's a persistent stain or a scratch, then I'd go with fine wet and dry using WD40 or a thin machine oil as a lubricant. The Aluminium will be left dull afterward but can easily be buffed back to a shine with any decent metal polish.
