If your unsure you have 2 choices with type of machine . Rotary or dual action . The latter will be an easier experience although dont let me put you off a rotary machine they just require a bit more care and understanding . There are some good guides for machine polishing and i DO recommend reading them to get the best from your products and you before attempting your pride and joy (if you not familiar with polishing ). Lake country pads are brilliant as are the Menzerna pads and 3M not tried any others yet.
A lot of people rate silverline machines. The DA6 PRO would be a good machine to start out with.
If you have a Clas Ohlsson ( not sure of the spelling) near you they do a twin head DA for about £30 which is very good
hi mat i just fancy giving it a go matey i know you can get those ones that dont damage the paint work but cant remember what ones they are lol
Both types can damage paint if not used correctly (you have to be a idiot in my view),the DA is the prefered choice for the newbie,i personaly hate DAs due to the vibration

I find DA's fine... Doug would have to be a total plank to fuck up with one.
If a car is full of swirls, rds and holograms then 8 hours is a normal sort of time to spend all told And with a DA, it does hurt a bit after a few hours!

Then you would be insane to choose a DA to perform that..any normal person would just reach for the rotary...
