Meg's hyper wash works well.

Sorry, you need a lance aswell.

I use snow foam and it is alright, but definately not worth the money, by the time you've shelled out for a gun etc. I only keep using the kit because I've got it!

It doesn't say the words "Snow Foam" anywhere on the container, but I will second that it is the best product on the market to use as a Snow Foam. Polished Bliss also agree with this.

What you need is a decent pressure washer, a quality foam lance (£44.95 from cleanyourcar.co.uk) and some Hyper Wash, then you're ready to roll.

I'm actually starting to learn a bit about all this detailing malarky now, and the sceince of it is quite interesting although I still dont really enjoy doing it much so leave it to the mrs instead, she's weird enough to actually enjoy it

There was a couple of threads on this the other day

Lance thread:
https://passionford.com/forum/concou...oam-lance.html

snow foam thread:
https://passionford.com/forum/genera...snow-foam.html

older snow foam thread:
https://passionford.com/forum/genera...snow-foam.html

It works really well, stays on for ages and gives the detergent time to break the dirt down, and if you wish to agitate it manually as well with a microfibre mitt or whatever its really easy to do so (best to only do that after its had one rince at least in case of particles you might scratch the paint with).

You need the lance AND the product, you cant just use the product on its own.

This is a specialist lance that you won't get with any pressure washer, it needs to be bought from a specialist.

Well worth it though.

I personnally only use it for quick ness and it does a great job
I wouldn't use it on my toys though
As I find it leaves the paint abit greasy unless I got the mixture wrong
But great stuff

If youve a strong enough washer the foam really does a good job much better when its heated water also.
And ive tried several foams and megs hyper wash is all i buy now.Remember it dilutes sumit like 400-1 so a greasy finish is probably due to being to strong.
Work out what your washer and gun flows to empty the bottle and add product accordingly.

Thats because its supposed to be a pre wash procedure just for releasing as much dirt from the car before you use a proper shampoo, and dont forget snow foam is TFR derived and you can get ones that are quite strong like tfrs

No you dont use it on its on the idea is to use it to remove the intergrated dirt before you hand wash it.
I usually give car a rinse then foam her up leave for 5 mins or dependant on weather as temp diffrence in air makes a diffrence to product, wash product off. Then re-foam and after 5 mins wash using the tbm.

Its a good quicky on its own, if your cars well protected and just a little dirty then its fine, if its really dirty i would always wash afterwards with the typical 2 bucket.

Just got the lance from cleanyourcar.co.uk and a new pressure washer, going to try the megs stuff out this week

i use snow foam and i definately think its worth it. the point of is to loosen and/or remove as much of the grit as possible before you wash with a mitt (not a sponge!!) so that you are dragging less grit across the paint and inflicting less damage to it. if you care about your paint then regardless of the cost it is worth it. as mentioned you need a proper lance, not the one supplied with the PW. they can be bought at a number of detailing shops. you'll also need the correct fitment for your lance ie a karcher fitment. you can use hyperwash or buy a dedictaed snow foam. remember to dilute it with water in the lance - it foams just as well and you get better value from your foam. hth.

I was given a container of snow foam but i have a pressuer washer but no lance so i just tried a little foam in one of those pump up sprayer things and i never realy got much foam but it got off the dirt so i could wash it with a mit without scratching the paint, i know a lance would be better but i am happy with the pump up method

with snow foam the lance creates a thick foam that hangs on the car, loosening the dirt. without a lance the foam is thinner, doesnt hang as long as isnt as effective.
