Default Washing and Polishing Question

I just finished washing the car and its pitch black out and there is condensation on the car, so can't finish detailing.

Is it ok to leave the car now and polish it tomorrow? Then apply sealant.

Or do I have to rewash the car tomorrow and start again?

(took longer to detail the car than I had planned, as a bird decided to crap on the car... twice)
