I was thinking tar remover and a stiff brush, maybe panel wipe to get any bits I missed, any other ideas?

After its cleaned, what is good to treat any rust patches? I heard hammerite kills rust, is this right? Im only giving it a clean and black waxoyl for now, and will do a proper spray + powdercoat jobbie in the winter, just want the car tidy for summer (central day is the target)

its the best used it on my brothers cossie cleaned all that sh*t off
takes it up like new

 

petrol or white spirit's i used white spirt's though

 

I used petrol so get the thick muck off then follwed by a blast with some brake cleaner. Wipe over after with panel wipe & it was ready to paint

 

pertol! then finish it off with a bit of panel wipe

 

cheers guys! Will pertrol not take paint off? or if it does will waxoyl on bare metal be ok?

You can tell Ive never had a properly mint car before cant you

 

dont put waxoyl on bare metal if it comes of it will rot very quick

petral is fine on paint bud i have used it to get tar of mine
