anyone any ideas how to keep vinylcloth[not mohair]roofs supple and stop them cracking and splitting

I used the Autoglym hood cleaner and proofer on my last car, was ok, have a look on the TT Forum there a massive post on this area some use miltons tablets i think to clean the hood then proof it with some tent stuff, can't recall supposed to be quite good

CLOTH ROOF

use traffic film remover aka tfr rinse it down first then cover it in that then scrubb away not too hard then thurly rinse offand then for best reults get a wet vac cleaner or carpet cleaner then hoover it all and it will turn out like newthats if its cloth

VINYL ROOF

if other then cover it in tfr quickly scrub lightly then rinse then use autoglym bumper gel put it on with a sponge(cut it into half)then spread evenly then use a cloth to finish
