Default Cleaning samcos

Right has any1 got any tips on cleaning samco hoses, ive spent a small fortune on black hoses and 6months down the line they dont look black anymore

As its winter the cars sitting in the garage n its time for a mini resto,

so what tips do you have to clean them, ?

Samco have stated you should never use WD40 to clean them as it will discolour the hoses over time

well all of my hoses r now off and to top it off my parents have gone away on hol, ive been asked to go over in the week n make sure the house is ok, think i may use the dish washer there,

Bold washing powder (the sort you use in your washing machine) is a VERY good degreaser as i've found out. i was surprised just how good it was.

does it no tleave the hose very sticky tho so that dirt picks up more easily onto the hose?

baby wipes is my preffered method of cleaning anything in the engine! thena bit of aerospace protector and your away!

Well actually, best stuff is panel wipe. The same stuff used in bodyshops before painting. I just like to apply a bit of WD40 onto the hoses (not loads) to give that extra bit of shine.

i think i seen somewhere that GGR have a spray can made for the job of cleanning hoses

snap on hand wipes did it for me but i bet the cheaper ranges are just as good if not better
