is it possible to get the bonnet lifter (don't know what it's called) in stainless steel instead of the grubby black ones?

i meant to write boot lifters!! mine look mingin. i've never come across them so I didn't know if it was possible to get them.

Lots of newer Volkswagens come with stainless lifters

 

If your not having any luck, a mate of mine does them for Imprezas etc through his company, Milsport He may have something that will do the job.... They aren't to expensive either.

Not having an Impreza now, I'm not sure of the length or size of the struts, or if he can get different sizes but, I know he was selling chrome versions and these are what he had on his when I saw him last.
