Default KA Bumpers.

What would be the best thing for these.

The missus has one and the bumpers really let the look of the car down. They're all mottled and dull.

Is there a paint or polish you can use to get the colour back?

Thanks in advance.

Try something like Poorboy's Trim Restorer. One thick coat, buffed in with pressure, left to sit and then buffed off. Followed with one thin coat buffed over the top

Try using a hot air gun, gently warm the trim with it and rub in bumper dressing gel at the same time and they should return to their former glory and stay that way too if you re dress them every few washes.

Poorboys Trim Restorer or Duragloss Rubber and Mat Dressing seem to be the best one's that I've worked with of late... The Duragloss has a rain repel agent in it as well so seems to hold up very well so far...... The Trim Restorer or even the Clearkote Vinyl / Rubber Treatment (the two are VERY similar), are more oil based dressings but this in itself means they will work on large areas of trim better than a waterbased dressing at this time of year, given the unfavourable weather.

Cheers.

I've found they respond differently to different grades of plastic though. I like to keep a supply of various different plastic trim products because of this. For some reason, PB's Trim Restorer works the best by miles on my Saff, but does not perform well on my Lotus. However, on the plastics on the Lotus, ClearKote Vinyl and Rubber Treatment out performs anything else i have ever tried by some margin

Yes I agree... I'm referring to the bumpers in question. I find Trim Restorer works well on grained trim yet on cars such as my GTR and a couple of 206's in the family all with very smooth plastics, the Trim Restorer doesn't excell..... The GTR works well with the Clearkote, whereas the 206's work well with both the Clearkote and the Duragloss ... The Duraloss and the Prima Nero also work well on more grained trim, such as what fords are in the family, and a Jag...... But, with the Prima being waterbased I don't think it will be best suited for this task as a deeper clean is needed rather than just a dressing.

Cheers.
