Default Problem inserting pictures

On my son's Windows XP user account he can't insert pictures in a word document, but if we use my account on the same PC (this one!) we can open the same document and insert the same picture files with no trouble. Any ideas why?

On his account it opens a box to select the file type, and even though it's set to JPEG, we get no preview and it says some nonsense about not recognising the file. It won't let us copy/paste them either.

Yes, but so does the other sons acount, and it can post pictures into Word (Can't try the same files though, because he doesn't have access to those)

Correction - the other sons account has the same problem!

Making the user account Administrator solves the problem, but I don't really want the kids installing and messing about with software. Soon as I put it back to Limited, the problem returns.

I can insert a screen print though.

Seems strange that you can't insert a picture from one file into another document though. I always thought the User Accounts were just a way to keep everyone's stuff separate and restrict messing with the software itself.
