You can download it here for free, download which ever version you have on your wifes laptop, 'mount it' to disc to make a bootable cd, then use the product key on the laptop, should all work okay.

F.A.O The Mods - These downloads are from Digital River and not torrents or illegal. Digital River is Microsoft's official distribution partner, so these downloads are secure and legit.

Office, Vista and Windows 7 also available if anybody else is interested

You'll need an 'ISO Burner' in order to make a bootable CD.

Whats the problem? Actually 'mounting' the file to the disc or getting the computer to read the disc.

I assume you are using CD writing software?

if so your looking for the "Burn an image" option, you then browse to the location of the ISO, select it, then 'burn' it.

That or I can guide you through it.

What burning software are you using, burning the ISO should make it bootable.

You need a DVD, it will be too big for a CD.

once you have the iso image i.e. the downloaded data you would normally find an option to burn disc from image. loks easy enough to use that from the pics on the site. woll have a propper look when i get in.

but on another note i am not sure on the copyright issues of someone supplying you a copy where money has changed hands. even if it is for materials used etc.
