Default wireless internet problems

Hi all,

I need some advice, im trying to simply connect a Dell Inspiron 6000 Vista equipped machine to my wireless with no joy, every time i open up IE it comes up with the 'cannot display' webpage thing. Now, i know the connection is fine as my HP vista equipped machine is fine..

The Dell 'looks' to be working; when i open up the network box it shows the network map fine, including a link to 'internet' and in the lower tool bar by the clock ive got the two little screens with the globe on as per my HP machine. All of the settings look to be the same on both machines, the firewall is turned off, as is the router security and as a precaution ive un-installed Norton (which it came with) as a bit of googling mentioned this as a possible cause.

Also, i cant connect either laptop successfully using the wired lan connection, though this may be a seperate issue.

Any ideas anyone? im just about ready to turn it into a garden ornament.

Try pulling the plug out of the router and re-starting it. Sometimes refreshing the DHCP leases helps
