Hi guys,
Long story short, old computer dying a slow and painful death, so got a knew one, used the harddrive out my old computer as a slave drive in the new one.
This is where the problem is, the slave shows up, i can access everything on it apart from my documents, which is all i want. Any ideas?

It's lack of correct permissions, you need to take ownership of the profile folder, if you have XP Home you will have to use "Cacls" to achieve this, let me know if you need more help.

Your best bet if you have Windows XP Home is to reboot in safe mode, you can then access the Security tab in the folder properties, so can take ownership in a GUI, opposed to having to script it using cacls.
IF YOU HAVE Windows XP Professional the above does not apply, but you will need to disable "Simple file sharing"!
Once you have done this under the security tab, click "Advanced" at the bottom and then click the owner tab at the top and then select "%computername%\Administrators" in the bottom pane. (Check the box "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects".
%computername% represents your unique computer name.
