Default Wireless problems

Bought a new laptop a couple of months ago.... HP Pavilion DV6

Thing is it often doesn't detect wireless networks, even when right beside the router. Disabling then enabling the wireless adapter usually sorts it out, but not always.

Sometimes deleting the chosen wireless connection from the menu and then starting from fresh works, but there's no real pattern to it.

Today I was trying to connect to a new router and only after plugging it in wired (which worked right away) and then trying to connect wirelessly 5 minutes later could I get everything up and running!

Any ideas? Getting really annoying.....

Try updating the WiFi cards drivers. Had the same on a Compaq (Also HP) netbook not long ago. Doing this fixed my issue.

As said first look for an updated driver (You could try Windows Update in the "Optional updates" section as this downloads drivers)
