my little nephew got 1 for xmas i was playing it xmas day i think its great mate id defo recomend it

 

Depends how much you will actually use it

I know I couldn't be arsed standing there to play games , but it's good if you have a few people round

 

As said only really good at the moment if your having a party

 

Had mine about a month and used it once lol

 

We got one for Xmas, its good fun. Although to be fair, we use ours for video calling more as I'm in Qatar and the wife is in the UK.

 

I played on my brother in laws yesterday and thought it was great, but as said prob not something i'd use by myself at home. so no i'm not gonna buy one, ive used out wii once in a year.

 

ive got one there brilliant mate . the misses has got just dance and me sons got kinectamals and we got adventure game it came with . but there bringing out forza 4 on it looks great and i think the future of gaming is in kinect have a look on you tube at games available .

 

i had 1 for xmas of miss,s all i gotta say its fuking amazing wot a scream with people around.......... how good is that kinectamals m8 as i,m looking at geting for my kids

 

kinectamals is good but my sons old befor his time and loves forza lol yhinks his gona drive my rs around silverstone . his only 6 lol

 

My mother in law got one for xmas and it's totally not practicale for their living room. I don't think the sensor is set up properly because it wasn't recognising what I was doing trying to play footie the other day. It get's fucking hot too, and it's only got a 4 gig hard drive on it.

 

Xbox comes with 4gb not kinect and you can upgrade with external hard drive 1 tb or more if u want to and overheating problems good now on new xbox

 

Id definately recommend it! Played on one a few times and loved every minute of it, such a good addition to the Xbox!

As above though, the BIG issue is space and if you havent got a good 6ft of space between TV and nearest object then u may aswell forget it! We ended up removing half the living room in order to play it without interferance from nearby objects!

Tis good though, will be amazing when they bring out some proper games for it!!

 

Just buy a wii.

 

when you get a kinect, you'll soon think how pointless the wii is! i mean you have to bloody hold something! haha.

seriously tho the kinect is really good, they way you control it is quite amaizing, and even if you dont fancy jumping around your room playing games, its got a built in mic so you can talk to the xbox contolling it through the menu's and also means you dont need a headset for online games.

 

I have a feeling the wii will become redundant once the proper kinect games start being released. The wii and the kinect seems leagues apart, there is no comparison.

The key to it is space as said, but it doesnt need 'loads' of space really. Most rooms should be fine. You just need to get used to it and stay put in the correct area. I think you can get a pad type thing so you know what area to stay in.

 

bought one for my wife and its excellent for us as the tv stands 6 foot tall and we have a pretty massive front room. Anyone with a standard council sort of size front room is going to struggle to play it properly.

Its good fun on games like dance central but im personally looking forward to new more adult like stuff on it.

 

ps wiis are rubbish and in my opinion finished as a games console compared to the others.

 

my mate and neighbour have both bought them and rave about it, the misses wants one but the wii that was a must have has been used twice and just collects dust so its will be a waste.

If you are the sort to play games etc then deffo.

 

I love it. Regularly go to visit a friend of mine who is unfortunatley as he puts it "sitting down" so its no use for him, but, his daughter is 12 and loves it and me and sis are going round there this week for a game on "Just Dance"

I love the games that take no real "skill" Im crap at driving games, I cant play shooters to save my life...so this is perfect for me
