Are Chrome, Firefox, Safari all installed at the same time?

Is there a firewall on your router that is blocking the connection?

Had them installed at the same time and seperate with no difference.

I'm running Vista on the laptop with no probs and had XP on the pc before with no probs so imo must be in W7

Ive had issues with getting 500 server errors and proxy server errors on mine, one day its fine and others its not! IE8 is useless...so slow, and ive found mozilla firefox to be the best!

You may have to access your router and give permissions to the web browsers to work. There's no Adobe support for the 64 bit version of IE8 as yet. I use Mozilla Firefox on Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit with no problems
