Now my boys getting a bit older (nearly 3 months old!) I though i'd better get him a PS3.

Are they really as good as they look? I've got an original xbox at present and still love ISS pro evo. Are there any good footy games for PS3?

They are very good yeah and it will blow you away BUT for £130 you can buy an xbox 360, very tempting

 

but xbox 360's are shite in comparisson, mine now lives in a box under the stairs

 

PS3 is a great media centre, but the Xbox still wins for a games machine, and is much cheaper.

 

got the both and, to be fair, for my sort of games, the 360 wins hands down

although there isn't anyting like the gadgetry available like there is on he ps3

but if they were to bring out them first person shoot em ups on the ps3 at the same time as the 360, the 360 would suffer by comparrison

I did notice on the advert for the X-Box that they are now £129.99. But 1 advert had in small print, this game requires a hard-drive and these start at £169.99.
Does that mean the £129.99 X-Box dosn't have no hard-drive?

Fifa 09 on the PS3 is brill, juiced 2, Need for speed pro-street, Grid and Gran Turismo 5 prologue are all awesome. I'd have the PS3 over the X-Box anyday.

 

Xbox has better games full stop! PGR4/Grid/Forza etc are incredible!!

 

Grid is also available on PS3 and you dont get Grand Turismo on XBOx

 

Grand Turismo is pretty poor anyway, not a patch on PGR or Forza

Correct, so I won't say how good that one is, but the one that you can buy (GT5 Prologue ) , isn't very good.

PS3 FTW!

Amazing Gaphics, Free Online Gaming, Blu Ray DVD Player, Internet broswer, Stream al your pics & vids via your laptop etc to the PS3, PSP Remote play (PS3 basicly on your PSP), WIFI built inn....err the list goes on!


The Driving games are alright, GT5 Prologue gets better & better all the time (they are hoping to release Damage & the 'Ring) before xmas & on GT5 you can download top gear shows & other motoring programs via the game!

There is a few other racing games out too, Midnight Club LA, Need For Speed: Undercover comes out soon, Grid is suspost to be good, Motorstorm has just realased a new title too!

Overal the PS3 is much more than a game console!

 

I went with the 360,it has the majority of the ps3 games apart from Metal gear/gran turismo,yeah loads of racing games and PGR4 is a great game and it has a 3door cossie in there lol...They are both good machines at the end of the day and whichever one you buy i doubt you would be dissapointed..

The people that say this is shit,that is shit remind me of the little kids back in school,my megadrive is better than your snes,my dads dick is bigger than your dads lol there is no crap machines these days.

Excellent fun. FIFA09 is a quality football game too.

The only thing the Xbox has on the PS3 is the selection of games available but the PS3 hasn't been out half as long so its to be expected.

Excellent though - get one.

Awesome console, can't fault it in the slightest and tere' no fear of the "red ring of death"

I binned the 40 gig hard drive though and slapped in a 320 gig one

And later I shall be watching the Man City vs Spurs game online on it

 

ps3 beats the 360 hands down..got both havent used the 360 in months
