the simplest form of recording i've found, in teh case of music, is to use windows media player or even real player

otherwise i always use dvd-ram discs where you just copy and paste/drag files to the E drive and let the majic happen

So, erm, what's the error message Nero throws up at you ? Have you tried removing the device from device manager (start -> settings -> control panel -> system -> hardware -> device manager) by clicking on the plus next to the dvd burner and choosing uninstall.

It's either the brand of media, or your drive is fucked, if you have tried another brand of media then replace the drive. www.ebuyer.com
