Default Microsoft outlook 2007

Im having trouble with microsoft outlook 2007, i can receive e-mails but i cannot send them it keeps coming back error, can somebody shed any light on this problem please

Sounds like incorrect SMTP settings.

im getting error 0x800ccc78 also 530 authentication required

The error means exactly what it says - it doesn't like either your user name
or your password.... your not authenticated against the server

If your ISP is BT then you need to tick the box that says "my server requires authentication" this is an option BT require for sending emails but not for receiving so this could be the issue. Even if your ISP isn't BT it might be worth trying this or going to their support pages and checking your settings against theirs.
