Hi,
My 10 month old Philips freevents H12Y laptop has just stopped working!

This afternoon I shut it down and it shut down, but now it wont switch back on, nothing, the battery is fully charged the power adaptor is on but it will not respond to any button!

Any ideas?

take it back to the shop that you bought it cause its bound to still be under warranty if its only 10months old! Not being sarky, but that seriously gonna be the only thing you can do, it its got power from the mains and its still not coming on, and the battery isn't flat?? then its prob a hardware failure if its completely dead. If the battery is flat, and its not working from the mains, then it could jsut be a dodgy power adaptor.

has the power adapter got a light on it that shows its getting power?

If the light isnt on, change the fuse. Cheapo laptops have cheapo power supplys that can pop at the slightest thing
