how do you get to do a private match ?

i want to chin my mate but when we click on private match it keeps comming up with a notice saying unable to connect to host

any ideas

you click on private match matey, then invite your friend in...

dont know any other ideas...its still early..lol

I'm starting to think its got something to do with my internet cos i cannot get online on NFS pro street aswell but seems funny i can go online on COD
